The Portuguese superstar made this known on Sunday in Dubai, after being named Best Middle East Player at the Globe Soccer Awards for the second consecutive year.

Ronaldo’s latest accolade comes on the back of another standout performance for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, where he scored twice on Saturday to push his overall career tally to 956 goals for club and country.

With the five-time Ballon d’Or winner set to continue playing for at least one or two more years, the landmark target now appears well within reach.

Speaking after receiving the award, the 40-year-old admitted that sustaining a long career at the top level is challenging but insisted his motivation remains intact.

“It’s hard to continue playing, but I am motivated,” Ronaldo said.
“My passion is high and I want to continue. It doesn’t matter where I play, whether in the Middle East or Europe. I always enjoy playing football and I want to keep going.”

Ronaldo also reiterated his ambition to keep winning trophies while chasing his personal scoring milestone.

“You know what my goal is. I want to win trophies and I want to reach that number (1,000 goals) that you all know. I will reach the number for sure, if there are no injuries.”

Despite his age, Ronaldo continues to defy expectations, maintaining elite performance levels and proving that his drive for greatness remains undiminished.
